As a
furniture conservator and artist with over 35 years of professional
experience Gene McCall has a very broad grounding in the visual
arts. While Mr. McCall’s main emphasis is on antique
conservation and restoration of English,
American
and Continental furniture of the 18th and early 19th centuries, he has
also been selected to restore many other diverse items ranging from a
pair of 14th century French statues, and a 17th century chain maille
shirt from the Mughal Court, to the grande escritoire of Louis
Bonaparte (King of Holland and brother of the Emperor Napoleon).
